Il ballo *** The dance

Siamo tornati alla vita di tutti i giorni con tante belle cose da fare e seguire... Infatti adesso sto cercando di preparare sia l'attività delle norme per le Giovani Donne che l'addestramento che avrò sabato 28 febbraio, oltre a le cose di tutti i giorni come Elodie, la casa da pulire, far da mangiare, lavare, stirare.... E poi dalla settimana scorsa ho cominciato ad andare dalla signora che abita sopra di noi (la mamma della proprietaria) a fare le pulizie una volta alla settimana. E'una persona anziana e quella che le puliva la casa prima sembra che adesso sia in coma.... comunque all'inizio lo volevo fare come servizio senza essere pagata, ma lei ha insistito dicendo che se non mi pagava non voleva neanche che andassi. Allora ho accettato, così alla fine guadagno anche qualche soldino. Oggi era Martedì Grasso.... anche quest'anno non abbiamo fatto niente per carnevale... Probabilmente quando Elodie andrà all'asilo (che strano pensarlo!) faremo sicuramente qualcosa! La settimana scorsa, come previsto a Elodie è venuta la febbre (aveva fatto il vaccino la settimana prima e ce lo avevano detto che dopo le sarebbe venuta la febbre) e anche abbastanza alta: più di 39°! Le è venuta mercoledì dopo che siamo tornati a casa dalla spesa. Xavier ha avuto una riunione in chiesa e poi è andato con il pres. di ramo dalla famiglia Gutu così è tornato dopo le 23... Comunque Elodie ha avuto la febbre anche giovedì e venerdì... Poverina era tutta calma e tranquilla, non voleva neanche mangiare.. Perfortuna sabato stava bene così nel pomeriggio siamo potute andare all'attività in chiesa: non ne potevo più di stare in casa!! E' venuta anche Elena! A Elodie avevo messo un bel vestitino che le ho comprato alla base americana, troppo bellina! L'attività era un ballo di San Valentino anche se poi erano tutti balli di gruppo, ci siamo divertiti molto!!! E poi anche il cibo era buono!! Xavier è arrivato appena è uscito dal lavoro così è riuscito a partecipare anche lui! Era forte perchè anche i missionari hanno ballato un pochino!!!
La domenica Ariele e anche Elena sono venuti a pranzo da noi: abbiamo fatto i tacos!!! Buoni buoni!! Avevamo appena finito di mangiare che abbiamo cominciato a sentire "tac tac tac"... Siamo andati a vedere e nella camera di Elodie veniva giù l'acqua dal soffitto! Elena e io siamo andate dalla signora di sopra che come immaginavo aveva dimenticato l'acqua del bidè aperta.... aveva allagato già tutto il bagno e parte di un'altra stanza... Perfortuna eravamo a casa e ce ne siamo accorti se no chissà quando se ne accorgeva lei! Abbiamo tirato su un bel po' d'acqua finchè non è arrivata la figlia della singnora (nonchè la proprietaria di casa nostra!) Adesso il soffitto si è asciugato praticamente tutto. Nel pomeriggio siccome Ariele e Xavier avevano da fare le loro cose al computer, noi "donne" siamo uscite a fare una passeggiata. Poi Xavier ha portato Arielino a casa mentre Elodie faceva pasticcetti: ha scritto sul muro! Elena alla fine è rimasta a dormire qua, ci eravamo messe a parlare e abbiamo fatto le 3! Il giorno dopo, cioè ieri, sembrava sempre che dovesse andare via invece poi è rimasta fino alle 17 passate! Per me poteva rimanere anche un altro giorno, non capita tanto spesso di stare così tanto insieme... è bello! E' una buona amica, ti voglio bene!!!

We are back to everyday life with many beautiful things to do and follow ... In fact now I'm trying to prepare both the standards activity for Young Women and the leadership training meeting that I will have on Saturday February 28th, in addition to the everyday life duties as Elodie, the house to clean, cooking, washing, ironing .... Last week I started to go by the lady who lives upstairs (the mother of the house owner) to clean her house once a week. She's an old lady and the one who cleaned the house before me, it seems she is in a coma now.... however, I wanted to do it as a service without being paid, but she insisted saying that she wanted to pay me or I could stay home. I accepted, so I can even gain some money. Today it was Fat Tuesday.... this year we have done nothing for carnival ... When Elodie starts to go to the maternity school (strange to think of that!) certainly we'll do something! Last week, as expected Elodie had the fever (because of the vaccine she had the week before they told us about the fever) and also pretty high: more than 39 °C! She had the fever on Wednesday after we returned home from groceries. Xavier had a meeting at church and then went with the branch president to visit the Gutu family, he was back after 11 pm ... Elodie had the fever also on Thursday and on Friday ... Poor thing she was all calm and quiet, she did not even want to eat .. Luckily on Saturday she was feeling good so in the afternoon we went to the activity at the church: It was so good to go out again! Elena came as well! Elodie had a beautiful dress (that I bought at the American base), sooo cute! The activity was a Valentine's dance even if they were not many slow, we had a lot of fun! And then the food was good too! Xavier came as soon as he got off from work, at least he was able to participate too! It was fun, the elders danced a little bit!

On Sunday Ariele and Elena came to eat lunch with us, we made tacos! Good, good! We had just finished eating when we started to hear "tac tac tac" ... We went to see and in Elodie's room we saw water coming down from the ceiling! Elena and I went by the lady upstairs and as I imagined she has forgotten the bidet water open .... it has already flooded the entire bathroom and part of another room ... Luckily we were at home to noticed it, otherwise who knows when she would have seen it...! We pulled up a lot of water until the lady's daughter (the owner of our house!) came. Now the ceiling is almost completely dry. In the afternoon Ariele and Xavier had to do their things with the computer, instead us "women" we went out for a walk. Then Xavier took home Arielino while Elodie wrote on the wall! At the end Elena slept here, we talked a lot, until 3 am! The next day, ie yesterday, it was like she was always about to leave instead she remained here till past 5 pm! For me, she could even stay another day, it doesn't happen so often to be a long time together... I just love it! She's a good friend!!! Love you!!

Tre giorni in Veneto *** Three days in Veneto

Una settimana *** One week

Finalmente Xavier ha avuto una settimana di ferie!!!!!E questo vuol dire che anche io ho avuto un po' di ferie!! Eh sì perchè quando Xavier è a casa mi può dare una mano con Elodie e io posso fare più cose!!!!! =) E' stata una bella settimana e non è passata troppo velocemente come invece succede di solito...!! Abbiamo fatto tante cose! Io ho l'abitudine di fare le liste per ricordarmi tutto quello che c'è da fare (anche se a Xavier non piacciono le liste!)

Così lunedì 9 febbraio la mattina siamo stati a casa poi nel pomeriggio siamo andati a pagare l'assicurazione della macchina che rispetto all'anno scorso è aumentata di parecchio a causa di un piccolo tamponamento di Xavier nel quale l'altra parte ne ha approfittato alquanto! Siccome eravamo in centro a Forlì ne abbiamo approfittato per fare un giro con Elodie. Siamo andati a comprare dei libri (abbiamo degli sconti in una libreria), passati dal negozio dei miei, abbiamo preso una pizza al taglio e poi con la macchina siamo andati al Toys Center a comprare il lettino da viaggio per Elodie. Elodie si sta sempre più rendendo conto di quando le piaccia quel negozio!!! Tornati a casa ho dato una pulita alla casa e fatta una piccola serata famigliare e Elodie a nanna, come al solito Xavier e io ci siamo guardati un episodio di Stargate Atlantis... (siamo partiti da SG1 ci siamo visti tutte le stagione e adesso siamo alla fine della terza stagione di Atlantis... Xavier mi ha convertito a Stargate!)

Martedì Elodie doveva avere il vaccino, ma alla fine è stato rimandato... ma forse è stato meglio così perchè in questo modo ho avuto il tempo di finire di pulire e Xavier di fare da mangiare (è troppo bravo a cucinare e poi gli piace!): avevamo i missionari a pranzo! E come al solito quando cucina Xavier è tutto mooolto buono! Nel pomeriggio abbiamo fatto vedere la casa a Dovadola ad un collega di lavoro di Xavier. E' venuto con noi in macchina. La luce in casa nostra non si può usare perchè quando si accende l'interruttore generale fa un gran rumore... perfortuna ci è successo la settimana scorsa quando eravamo lì per dare una pulita all'appartamento! Un'altra cosa da riparare... Comunque gli è piaciuta molto, adesso ci deve pensare su e poi ci farà sapere... speriamo bene, anche se per il momento questa casa è stata abbastanza sfortunata! Siamo anche passati all'Orso (un negozio di mobili) dove avevamo visto una cameretta per Elodie e futuri... che ci piaceva. Ci siamo fatti fare un preventivo... circa 2000 euro... Ma poi guardando su Diogene (un giornale di annunci locale) abbiamo trovato che qualcuno vendeva una cameretta con letto a ponte e scalini con cassetti... ho telefonato e questa signora abita a neanche 5 minuti a piedi a da casa nostra. Ci siamo messi d'accordo per andarla a vedere (questo mercoledì) e ci siamo andati dopo aver portato Elodie a fare il vaccino (Morbillo, rosolia, parotite). Ha pianto come al solito, ma in generale è stata brava e poi qui a Forlimpopoli alla fine hanno le caramelle, quindi era più che contenta, appena le ha viste ha fatto "uuuuuuhhh!!!" Ma tornando alla cameretta, è in buono stato e molto carina e perfetta per le nostre misure. In più ci darà coperte, lenzuola, altre mensole, lucine varie libreria scrivania... tutto a 500 euro!! Questo perchè ha due figlie di 10 e 11 anni e vuole rifare loro le camere separate così si libera di tutto! E' proprio una bella occasione per noi! o meglio dire una benedizione! Si trovano cose interessanti sui giornali!!!! La cameretta la prenderemo a marzo. Sarà utile anche per quest'estate quando verrà la famiglia di Xavier che così avrà anche un letto dove dormire =)

Sempre mercoledì siamo andati a fare la spesa e poi Xavier aveva una riunione in chiesa così l'ho lasciato lì e Elodie e io siamo tornate a casa solo che ho combinato un pasticcetto... proprio davanti a casa con il mio specchietto ho preso nello specchietto della macchina del proprietario di casa e gliel'ho rotto... Lui era lì fuori... non si è arrabbiato... però non era per niente contento... ma è una persona gentile... sono stata fortunata che era lui, però che vergogna e che pasticciona!!! Ci dirà poi quanto gli dobbiamo........

GIOVEDì 12 FEBBRAIO era un giorno speciale perchè il compleanno della mia cara amica Krystal!!!!!!!! Peccato che abitiamo così lontane......... ma le voglio tanto bene comunque!!! E proprio in quel giorno siamo partiti per il Veneto!!! Siamo andati a Cittadella da Elena e Vittorio. All'inizio non trovavamo la loro casa anche se ci eravamo passati davanti diverse volte... Comunque hanno una bella casa e ci siamo trovati davvero bene da loro! Quando siamo partiti mi è dispiaciuto tanto, sai quando ci si trova bene in un posto non si vorrebbe più andare via! Grazie ancora Elena e Vittorio per l'ospitalità e speriamo di poter fare una cosa simile in un futuro non troppo lontano!! Giovedì siamo andati con Elena e Vittorio a vedere Bassano del Grappa... faceva un freddo assurdo, più che altro era il gran vento gelido! Mi sono congelata, ma è stato bello anche se era già buio quando siamo arrivati! La sera abbiamo mangiato a casa loro una cena buonisssssima! A pensarci mi viene ancora fame!!!! Venerdì mattina siamo andati (solo Xavier, Elodie e me) a Vicenza dove ci siamo trovati con Nancy e Bob che ci hanno portato alla base dove abbiamo comprato diversi vestiti e un po' di cibo. Sono stata molto felice di aver trovato qualcosa anche per me, ultimamente è diventato abbastanza difficile trovarmi dei vestiti dei quali sia soddisfatta. Alla fine eravamo un po' di corsa perchè Nancy e Bob dovevano andare a Aviano, ma siamo riusciti a fare tutto lo stesso e mangiare a Taco Bells... ogni volta che vado alla base faccio come un tuffo nel passato e torno alla mia missione.... quanto mi manca!! Abbiamo anche portato qualcosa a Elena e Vittorio per ringraziarli di tutto. In teoria dovevamo andare a Aviano anche noi ma alla fine abbiamo visto che non ci conveniva visto che avremmo passato più tempo in viaggio che altro così abbiamo deciso di tornare a Cittadella (volevamo andare a trovare la cugina di mia mamma Marisa, ma non era a casa....). Nel tardo pomeriggio siamo usciti per fare un giro e ci hanno fatto vedere Cittadella (sempre al buio!). Siamo stati comunque fortunati perchè nonostante il gran freddo, venerdì a Forlì è nevicato abbastanza, mentre dove eravamo noi abbiamo sempre avuto un bellissimo tempo! Quella sera avevo un gran mal di testa così sono andata a letto abbastanza presto. Tutto il tempo che siamo rimasti da loro, Xavier e Vittorio si sono scambiati e copiati un sacco di film! Sabato mattina Vittorio era a lavorare. Noi abbiamo cominciato a prepare tutto per andare via, che tristezza però, mi sono trovata davvero bene lì con loro e andare via mi è dispiaciuto! Per pranzo abbiamo aspettato anche Vittorio e poi dopo qualche foto crazy ci siamo salutati e siamo andati a Thiene dove ci siamo trovati con Martina (la mia GinaQ) e il suo boyfriend. Finalmente siamo riusciti a incontrarci tutti insieme! Anche se è rischiato di saltare tutto perchè Martina era malata... Dopo lo scambio di collane e collanine per le nostre mamme, siamo andati al parco di fronte alla casa della Rosanna (la cugina delle nostre mamme), nel quale sono stata un sacco di volte quando ero piccola e anche con Xavier quando ancora eravamo giovani (e magri =) ) Sì infatti con Xavier l'avevamo ribatezzato: "il parco dello scarabello" (bè è una lunga storia...). Elodie si è divertita un sacco ad andare dentro a un trenino (per Martina è invece IL trenino!), andare sull'altalena, sullo scivolo e quel coso che non so come si chiama che va su e giù con una persona da una parte e l'altra dall'altra... Ci siamo divertiti anche noi! Poi siamo andati a fare un giro in centro a Thiene... penso di non esserci mai stata prima, è carino! Abbiamo cercato un posto dove fermarci a prendere qualcosa ma essendo sabato e il sabato di san valentino, c'era un bel po' di gente. Alla fine ci siamo fermati in un bar vicino al parcheggio dove avevamo lasciato la macchina e siamo così stati un po' al calduccio. Io mi sono presa una cioccolata calda! Buona!! Elodie si è bevuta quella di papà =) Abbiamo chiaccherato un pochino ma poi si è fatto tardi e così dopo aver fatto una foto insieme e esserci salutati siamo partiti per tornare a casa. Elodie non ha dormito per niente! Ci siamo fermati in un'area di servizio per prendere qualcosa da mangiare per Elodie così quando arrivavamo a casa era già a posto. Il viaggio è andato molto bene, siamo passati anche dai miei per lasciare le cose che avevamo per loro e poi a casa nostra, dove ci attendeva una bella sorpresa: il riscaldamento non funzionava e faceva non freddo ma di più! Non ci siamo nemmeno potuti fare una doccia, si gelava! Abbiamo dormito con un sacco di coperte e vestiti... una piccola avventura =) Perfortuna stamattina prima di andare in chiesa Xavier ha chiamato l'assistenza tecnica e che ci ha aiutato a risolvere il problema! A pranzo è venuto Arielino (mia mamma doveva andare dal nonno e mio babbo era a Milano per un addestramento) e la casa era già più calda! Nancy in chiesa ci ha dato le cose che avevamo ordinato alla Deseret Book, che bello!!! E abbiamo già guardato il film/documentario sulla vita di pres. Hinckley... molto molto bello! Elodie adesso poi la domenica va al nido!!! La sua insegnante è Tamara, che dice che Elodie è molto brava! Resta nel nido praticamente senza fare storie e poi con lei c'è anche Giulia (ha un anno in più), la nipote di Cristina Gutu, così non è sola! Purtroppo come al solito le vacanze finiscono e così anche questa.... non vedo l'ora che arrivi la prossima!!!!!!

Xavier finally had a week off from work !!!!! And that means that I had some vacations too! That's because when Xavier is at home he helps me out with Elodie and I can do more things !!!!! =) It has been a good week and did not pass too quickly as it usually happens ...!! We have done so many things! I have the habit of making lists to remind me everything I need to do (even if Xavier does not like lists!) So Monday February 9th, in the morning, we were at home then in the afternoon we went to pay car insurance that compared to last year has increased quite a bit due to a small pile of Xavier, in which the other party has taken advantage unfairily! Since we were downtown in Forlì we had the chance to walk a little with Elodie. We bought some books (we have discounts in a library), we stopped by my parents' shop, we had a piece of pizza and then with the car we went to the "Toys Center" to buy a travel cot for Elodie. Elodie is increasingly becoming aware of how much she likes that store! Back home I cleaned the house we had a short family home evening and put Elodie in be. As usual, Xavier and I've watched an episode of Stargate Atlantis ... (we started from SG1, we have seen all the seasons and now we are at the end of the third season of Atlantis ... Xavier has converted me to Stargate!)

On Tuesday Elodie had to have the vaccine, but it was postponed ... perhaps it was better this way because I had time to finish cleaning and Xavier to make something to eat (he's soo good at cooking and he likes to do it!): the missionaries came for lunch! And as usual when Xavier cooks everything is sooooo good! In the afternoon we showed our house in Dovadola to a work colleague of Xavier. He with us in the car. The light in our house can not be used because when you turn them on the general switch makes a great noise... we were lucky it happened last week while we were there to clean the apartment! Another thing to fix ... However, he liked the house very much, he needs to think about it a little more and then he will let us know... hopefully everything will work out good, although until now this house has been unlucky! We also went to "Orso" (a furniture shop) where we saw a bedroom for Elodie (and future kids...) we liked. The estimated money for this room is about 2000 euros... But then, looking at Diogene (a local newspaper ad), we found that someone was selling a bedroom with a bunk bed and stairs with drawers ... I called and this lady lives not even 5 minutes walking from our house. We made an appointment to go and see this "bedroom"(on Wednesday). We went after Elodie had her vaccine (measles, rubella, mumps). She cried as usual, but in general she was pretty good; here in Forlimpopoli after the shots they give sweets, so she was more than happy, as soon as she saw the candies she said:"uuuuuuhhh!" But talking again about the bedroom, it is in good condition and very cute and perfect for our measures. In addition she will give us blankets, bed sheets, other shelves, little kid lights a library and a desk ... All for 500 euro! This is because she has two daughters one of 10 and the other one of 11 years old and she wants to redo their rooms so she get rid of all! It's a greatrtunity for us! O better to say a blessing! You can find interesting things in the newspapers! We'll take the room in March. It will be useful also for this summer when Xavier's family will come to visit us, so that they will have a bed where to sleep =) Also, on Wednesday, we went to the grocery store and Xavier had a meeting at the church I left him there and went home with Elodie but I did a little mess... right in front of the house, with my rearview mirror I took in the one of the car of the owner of the house and broke it ... He was out there ... he wasn't angry ... But it was not happyat all... but it is a kind person ... I was lucky that it was him, but what a shame! He will tell us how much we have to pay for that........

Thursday, February 12th was a special day it was the birthday of my dear friend Krystal !!!!!!!! So bad that we live so far away ......... but I love her soooo much anyway! On that day we left for the italian region called Veneto! We went to Cittadella by Elena and Vittorio. We couldn't find their house, but then when we found it, we realized we passed in front of it a least 3 times... Anyway, they have a nice house and we had a really good time with them! I was sad to leave on saturday, you know when you are good in a place you would not go away! Thank you Elena and Vittorio for the hospitality and we hope to do something similar in a not too far future! Thursday we went with Elena and Vittorio to see Bassano del Grappa ... it was freezing cold, especially the wind! I was frozen, but it was beautiful even if it was already dark when we arrived! In the evening we ate at home a super good dinner! Just thinking of it makes me hungry again! Friday morning we went (only Xavier, Elodie and me) in Vicenza, where we met with Nancy and Bob that they took us to the american base where we bought several clothes and some american food. I was very happy I found something for me too, lately has become quite difficult to find clothes that fit me well. At the end we were on a hurry because Nancy and Bob had to go to Aviano, but we managed to do everything and eat at Taco Bells ... every time I go to the base it's like to go back in time and it reminds me a lot of my mission .... which I miss a lot! We also brought something to Elena and Vittorio to thank them of everything. We had to go to Aviano as well but then we saw that we would have spent more time traveling than anything else so we decided to go back to Cittadella (we wanted to visit the cousin of my mother Marisa, but she was not home....). In the late afternoon we went out: they showed us Cittadella (always in the dark!). We were lucky because despite the great cold, on Friday in Forlì it snowed while where we were, we had always a wonderful weather! That evening I had a big headache so I went to bed early. The whole we were at their house, Xavier and Vittorio exchanged and copied a lot of movies! On Saturday morning Vittorio had to work. We began to prepare everything to leave, but it was sooo sad, I had such a great time there! For lunch, we waited for Vittorio to come home; after a few crazy pictures and greetings we went to Thiene where we met with Martina (my GinaQ) and her boyfriend. Finally we managed to meet all together! Although Martina until the day before was sick... After the exchange of necklaces for our mothers, we went to the park in front of the house of Rosanna (the cousin of our mothers), where I went a lot of times when I was little and even with Xavier when we were still young ( and thin =)) Well, indeed Xavier nad I renamed that park as: "Scarabellopark" (it is a long story...). Elodie had lots of fun going inside a "train" (to Martina is THE train!), on the swing, on the slide and the thing that I do not know how it's called that goes up and down with one person on one side and the other on the other side... We had fun too! Then we went to see downtown Thiene ... I think I have never been there before, it's cute! We tried to find a place to stop to take something to drink but being on a saturday and Valentine's Day, there were a lot of people everywhere. Finally we stopped in a place close to the parking lot where we had our cars: it was warm inside!! I had a hot chocolate! Really good! Elodie drunk the hot chocolate of dad =) We chatted a little bit but then it came the time to leave; after taking a picture together and all the greetings, we left to go home. Elodie didn't sleep at all! We just stopped to get something to eat for Elodie. The trip was nice, we also stopped at my parents home to give them the things we had for them and we went home, where we hade a nice surprise: the heater did not work and it was freezing cold! We have not even been able to take a shower, it was soooo cold!! We slept with lots of blankets and clothes ... like a little adventure =) Luckily this morning before going to church, Xavier called the technical support who helped us to solve the problem! We had Arielino for lunch (my mother had to stay with my grandfather and my father was in Milan for a training) and the house was already much warmer! At the church Nancy gave us the things we ordered at Deseret Book! We have already watched the movie / documentary on the life of pres. Hinckley... very very beautiful! On Sunday Elodie go to the nursery! Her teacher is Tamara, who says that Elodie is very good! She stays in the nursery almost without complaining she's not alone there is also Giulia (she one year older than Elodie), the granddaughter of Cristina Gutu! Unfortunately, as usual, holidays have an end .... I can't wait for the next one!!!!!!

Piove piove piove... *** Rain rain rain

E' da un po' che non si vede il sole... piove, piove sempre! Così è difficile uscire un po'.... soprattutto con Elodie! E poi questa settimana Xavier deve lavorare un sacco.... =( Poverino lui e povera me! No dai, mi piace stare con Elodie, a volte però non me ne rendo conto!

Ultimamente sono stata abbastanza presa da tante cose, in particolare il Nuovo Inizio delle Giovani Donne e la casa a Dovadola.... Ma il tempo più bello è quello che passo con Xavier e Elodie, la mia patata! Infatti quasi un mese fa', per la nostra serata famigliare siamo andati all'iper di Savignano a fare un giro e poi abbiamo mangiato al McDonalds. A Elodie è piaciuto un sacco, soprattutto le crocchette di pollo! Mi è così venuto in mente quando ero ancora incinta, nei primi mesi che vomitavo tutto tutto, e che un giorno con Nancy sono andata al McDonalds a mangiare, convinta che tanto avrei vomitato come sempre e invece non è stato così! Pensavo così che il vomito fosse passato finalmente e invece no, appena ho mangiato qualcosa di "normale" ho ripreso a vomitare.... Da quello avevo già capito che a questa bimba piacciono cibi "diversi" specialemte il McDonalds!!!! Sono molto contenta della mia famiglia e non la cambierei mai!!!! (Anche se a volte Elodie mi fa davvero diventare matta!!)

Praticamente io passo la maggior parte delle mie giornate a casa con la patata, cioè con Elodie e aspetto con ansia che Xavier torni a casa! Elodie si diverte tanto con Xavier; quando giocano insieme sono troppo forti! Peccato che Xavier non possa essere più tempo a casa.... Ma meglio poco che niente! Elodie sta crescendo molto, io me ne rendo conto dalle fotografie.... e un po' dai capelli che si stanno allungando e facendo tanti bei ricciolini! Anche io avevo i ricciolini quando ero piccolina... Elodie è una bimba molto spiritosa e furba e sa bene quello che vuole, anche se non parla ancora capisce tutto in entrambe le lingue (francese e italiano) e si fa capire altrettanto bene!

Domenica 18 gennaio Arielino è venuto a mangiare a casa nostra anche perchè i miei erano in visita ad Ancona. E Xavier ha fatto le lumache (francese!)... Io le avevo già mangiate, ma per Arielino era la prima volta.... non gli sono piaciute tanto... lui le ha mangiate stile panino... ma invece a Elodie sono piaciute tanto (Nella foto la sua espressione sembra dimostrare il contrario, ma è perchè poco prima aveva pianto per poterne mangiare una...)!

Quella stessa domenica siamo andati a Rimini (dopo aver lasciato Elodie dai nonni) ad un caminetto via satellite di Pres. Monson. E' stato molto bello, parlava della preparazione per gli eventi futuri della nostra vita e metteva in gran risalto l'importanza dello studio... Mi ha fatto venire una gran voglia di fare l'università, ma penso che per il momento sia quasi impossibile, e poi anche a Xavier piacerebbe molto studiare, ma qui in Italia avere e mantenere una famiglia, studiare e lavorare allo stesso tempo non è solo impossibile, ma di più... Al ritorno eravamo davanti a Cinzia e abbiamo scherzato un po' con lei facendo le luci, andando pianissimo ecc, ma poi appena in autostrada... la macchina o meglio la ruota dietro destra ci ha fatto uno scherzo: si è bucata e poi con la velocità praticamente distrutta. Ci siamo fermati nella corsia di emergenza per cambiarla, per fortuna si sono fermati due ragazzi, dei quali uno se la cavava meglio di noi nel cambiare le ruote, il quale molto gentilmente ci ha dato una mano. Siamo stati fortunati che sia successo alla ruota dietro perchè se fosse successo a una di quelle davanti sarebbe stato molto pericoloso... Qualcuno ci stava proteggendo!! Elodie poi ha fatto anche 20 mesi! Le piace molto scrivere o scarabocchiare... E' troppo bellina!

Per quanto riguarda la casa a Dovadola... il ragazzo a cui l'abbiamo affittata per il mese di dicembre alla fine ha chiesto di rimanere anche per gennaio... ha detto che il suo amico è partito e aspettava che il padre arrivasse per prendere su lui... Poi il padre è arrivato e dovevano partire subito, poi no il giorno dopo, poi ancora no, dopo due, tre giorni, poi ancora no, alla fine del mese... E intanto rimandava e rimandava il pagamento; più di una volta ha detto un giorno e poi il giorno e l'ora arrivavano e lui no... fino a giovedì 29 gennaio che come scusa questa volta aveva che ha avuto un incidente.... Ma nella sua storia ci sono troppi buchi, le cose non tornano! Giovedì sera allora, stanchi dei suoi giochetti (non ci rispondeva più neanche al telefono!) abbiamo deciso di fare un "blitz" nel nostro appartamento. Xavier è uscito dal lavoro verso le 21:15 e appena a casa siamo andati a prendere mio babbo che è venuto con noi per stare in macchina con Elodie... Siamo andati a Dovadola, ma loro o lui non erano a casa. Siamo entrati dentro con la pila (sembrava di essere in un film!) e abbiamo guardato le condizioni dell'appartamento... erano abbastanza buone, a parte la gran puzza di fumo. Nella camera i materassi erano entrambi per terra uno attaccato all'altro... dorme così vicino a suo padre o a qualcun altro o meglio altra?? Comuque abbiamo aspettato un pochino ma non è tornato a casa... (erano già le 22:30) Non potendo rimanere di più, anche perchè Elodie doveva essere già a letto e Xavier si alzava presto il giorno dopo, siamo andati verso casa. Prima però ci siamo fermati al pronto soccorso per chiedere se veramente questo ragazzo aveva avuto un incidente, ma non essendo parenti non ci hanno potuto dare l'informazione. Siamo anche andati al ristorante dove aveva detto che sarebbe andato per pranzo, ma anche lì non ci sono stati molto di aiuto... Una volta a casa, il ragazzo che sembra, se non ci ha mentito anche su quello, che si chiami Gaetano Dagostino, ci ha mandato un messaggio dicendo che li stavano portando a casa dal pronto soccorso e che il giorno dopo potevamo andare per prendere i soldi... Ma nonostante Xavier continuasse a chiamarlo lui non rispondeva. Il giorno dopo poi ci ha detto che ci saremmo trovati domenica così ci davano anche le chiavi perchè dovevano partire. Domenica dopo le riunioni abbiamo chiamato, ha risposto una voce diversa da quella di Gaetano, che ci ha detto di andare dopo le 19 perchè doveva fare l'iniezione.... (noi stavamo già andando verso le 15) Così abbiamo aspettato. Verso le 18:30, il ragazzo ci chiama e ci dice che loro sono già pronti a partire, e gli rispondiamo che come d'acccordo saremmo arrivati comunque dopo le 19. Poi ci ha richiamati di nuovo dicendo che erano a Castrocaro a salutare tutti e che ci saremmo trovati davanti al Grand Hotel... e così è stato... ci ha imbambolato con le sue storie che poi ripensandoci avevano dei particolari che non coincidono tra loro e ci ha dato un assegno assicurandoci che era valido... ci siamo voluti fidare e abbiamo fatto male perchè poi oggi ci siamo informati e l'assegno purtroppo come sospettavamo non è valido e il ragazzo non ci risponde più al telefono.... Siamo anche andati al ristorante dove ci ha detto di aver lavorato, ma non era vero neanche quello... allora cosa è venuto a fare??? Chi è??? Adesso stiamo cercando di risolvere il grosso problema... ma perchè ci capitano tutti a noi??? Sicuramente da queste esperienze stiamo imparando molto: non ci si deve fidare di nessuno!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Il 20 gennaio era il compleanno di Arielino: 23 anni... mamma mia, a me sembra che ne abbia sempre 12-13, ma non per come si comporta è che io sono rimasta a quella età per lui, come io sono rimasta a 21 per me! Mercoledì sera (il 21) sia Ariele che Xavier avevano una riunione in chiesa, così dopo Ariele è venuto a casa nostra per "festeggiare il suo compleanno". Niente lumache questa volta! Abbiamo mangiato hambugers e guardato "Il mistero delle pagine perdute" (Ariele non l'aveva ancora visto!) Io intanto ho stirato!! Sì perchè ero rimasta super indietro a stirare così mi ci sono messa quasi ogni giorno per una settimana e sono riuscita a stirare praticamente tutto!! Sono fiera di me!!! =)

Il 26 gennaio (che tra l'altro era l'anniversario di matrimonio dei miei genitori +27!), nel pomeriggio siamo andati a Dovadola per prendere la posta dalla Bruna (la vicina di sotto), perchè stavamo aspettando una lettera dalla banca riguardo a delle modifiche che avevamo chiesto sul mutuo... Quando abbiamo suonato nessuno ci ha aperto, e mentre stavo risuonando di nuovo è arrivata la ragazza che aiuta la Bruna con i suoi due figli che ci avevano già riconosciuto... Insomma per farla breve, la Bruna è caduta e si è rotta il femore e ora è in ospedale da più di un mese. Ogni tanto non c'è neanche più con la testa e non si ricorda delle persone, ma una persona che non si dimentica mai mai è Elodie! La siamo andata a trovare all'ospedale ed è stata molto sorpresa e felice di vederci!! Abbiamo scoperto che ha ben 92 anni!! Mamma mia non li dimostra per niente!! Adesso non so se tornerà a casa o che cosa, però mi dispiacerà se non ritorna a casa sua...

Sabato 31 gennaio dopo tante telefonate, ricerche, stress, ecc. ecc. ecc. c'è stata l'attività del nuovo inizio delle giovani donne del distretto di Rimini: "Un faro nella notte" Per il momento sono solo in 3, ma si deve comunque lavorare come se fossero 60! A Rimini ci sono delle brave dirigenti, Costanza è un grande sostegno per me e per Sabrina! Una persona su cui contare! Mila e io siamo andate prima (ho lasciato Elodie con Ariele) ed eravamo le prime, per fortuna che avevo portato le chiavi! Abbiamo cominciato a sistemare le varie decorazioni e il computer... poi sono arrivate anche le altre. Le prove sono state un disastro, non si capiva niente e non avevamo neanche abbastanza tempo... Ma poi la serata è andata molto bene! C'erano diverse persone e la Società di Soccorso aveva preparato un bel e buono rinfresco oltre ad aver decorato proprio bene i tavoli!! Era proprio bello! Eravamo vestite dei colori dei valori delle GD compreso il nuovo valore: la virtù, l'oro! Abbiamo presentato il programma delle GD e il tema di quest'anno della AMM (1 Timoteo 4:12). Spero che anche le giovani abbiano apprezzato e soprattutto capito almeno un pochino le cose di cui abbiamo parlato. Per fortuna che c'è Jenny Phillips che ha tante belle idee che poi io copio e traduco!! Mi piace tanto servire nelle Giovani Donne!!

It has been a while since I have seen the sun the last time... rain, it's always raining! So it is kind of difficult to get out.... especially with Elodie! And this week Xavier has to work a lot .... = ( Poor him and poor me! But, I like being with Elodie, sometimes I don't realize it though! Lately, I've been quite taken by many things, particularly the Young Women New Beginning and the house in Dovadola .... But the most beautiful time is the time I spend with Xavier and Elodie, my potato! =) In fact, almost a month ago, for our family home evening we went to the "mall" in Savignano and then we ate at McDonalds. Elodie likes it a lot, especially the chicken nougats! It reminded me of when I was pregnant and in the first months I threw up everything, and that one day I went with Nancy to McDonalds to eat, so sure that I would have thrown up as always, but this was not the case! I thought that the throwing up was finally gone but no, as soon as I ate something "normal" I started to throw up again .... Since then I had already realized that this little girl likes a "different" food especially McDonalds! I am very happy of my family and I would never change them! (Even though sometimes Elodie makes me really become crazy!) Basically I spend most of my days at home with the potato, I mean, with Elodie, and I look forward to Xavier coming home! Elodie has so much fun with Xavier, when they play together they are so much fun! Unfortunately that Xavier can not spend more time at home .... But a little is better than nothing! Elodie is growing, I realize that looking at the pictures .... and looking at her hair that is getting long and doing so many beautiful curls! I had curls too when I was little ... Elodie is funny and very smart and knows what she wants, even if she doesn't speak yet she can understand everything in both languages (French and Italian) and makes herself very understandable! Sunday, January 18th, Arielino came to eat at our home because my parents were at church in Ancona. Xavier cooked escargot (French !)... I had already eaten them, but for Arielino was the first time .... he didn't like them so much ... he ate them like a sandwich (with bread to not taste them)... but Elodie instead like them a lot (In the picture her expression seems to prove otherwise, but it's because she just cryed in order to eat one ...)! That same Sunday we went to Rimini (after leaving Elodie with her grandparents) to a fireside by satellite of Pres. Monson. It was really interesting, it was about preparendness for future events of our lives and he put great emphasis on the importance of studying... It gave me a great desire to go back to university, but I think for the moment it is almost impossible, and also Xavier'd love to study, but here in Italy have and maintain a family, work and study at the same time is not only impossible, but more ... On the way back we were in front of Cinzia and we joked a little with her doing the lights, going really slow etc., but then once on the highway ... the right wheel in the back did a joke to us: the wheel was perforated and becuase of the speed it was virtually destroyed. We stopped in the emergency lane to change it, luckily two boys stopped, one of them was better than us in changing wheels, and he was very kind to help us. We were fortunate that happened to the wheel in the back, if it had happened to one of those in the front would have been very dangerous ... Someone was protecting us! Elodie also turned 20 months! She likes to write or scribble a lot ... She's sooo cute! As for the house in Dovadola ... the guy to whom we rented it for the month of December, asked to remain for January ... He said his friend already left and he was waiting for his dad to come to pick him up... Then his father came and had to leave immediately, then no, the next day, then no again, after two or three days, then no again, at the end of the month ... Meanwhile he postponed and postponed the payment; more than once he said he was coming one day, the day and hour arrived, and he didn't ... Until Thursday January 29th when he found a new excuse: this time he said he had an accident .... But in his story there are too many "holes", things do not add up! We got in using a torch (it seemed to be in a movie!) And we looked at the conditions of the apartment ... it was quite good, apart from the great smell of smoke. In the room were two attached mattresses on the floor ... is he sleeping so close to his father or to someone else?? However we waited a little bit but he did not come home... (It was already 10:30 pm) Not being able to stay longer, because Elodie had to be already in bed and Xavier got up early the next day, we went home. But first we stopped at the emergency room to ask if this guy really had an accident, but since we are no relatives they are not able to give us those kind of information. We also went to the restaurant where he said he went to for lunch, but there too they were not a big help... Once home, the guy, whose, if he didn't lie even about that, name is Gaetano Dagostino, sent a message saying they were bringing them home from the emergency room and that the next day we could go to get the money ... But despite Xavier continued to call him he did not reply. The next day he then told us that we could meet on Sunday so they could gave us the keys becuase they had to leave. Sunday after church meetings we called, someone replied wih a different voice from Gaetano, who told us to meet after 7:00 pm because he had to do the injection .... (we were already going at 3:00 pm) So we waited. At about 6:30 pm, the guy called us and told us that they were ready to leave, but we said we were going to be there after 7 as we planned earlier...Then he called us back again saying that they were in Castrocaro to say goodbye to everyone and that we could meet in front of the Grand Hotel ... So it was ... he confused us with his stories, that thinking about it now, what he said, it doesn't make a lot of sense, many details don't fit together.. He gave us a check assuring us that it was valid ... we wanted to trust him but we did wrong, because today we went to change the check and, unfortunately, as suspected it is invalid and the guy does no longer answer the phone.... We also went to the restaurant where we said he worked, but it was not even true that ... then what did he do??? Who is him??? Now we are trying to solve the big problem ... but why we find all these kind of people?? Certainly we are learning a lot from all these experiences: we should not trust anyone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On January the 20th was the birthday of Arielino: 23 years old... Mamma mia, to me it seems that he is always 12-13, but not for how he behaves is that I stopped at that age for him, as I remained at 21 in my head! Wednesday evening (the 21st) Ariele and Xavier had a meeting at church, so after that Ariele came to our house to "celebrate his birthday." No escargot this time! We ate hambugers and watched "The mystery of the missing pages" (Ariele had not yet watched it!) I iron in the meantime! Yes, because I was super behind ironing so almost every day for that week I iron and I managed to iron almost everything! I am proud of me! =)
On January 26th (which, by the way, was the wedding anniversary of my parents +27!) in the afternoon we went to Dovadola to take our mail by Bruna (the neighbor downstair), because we were waiting for a letter from the bank about some changes we asked on our loan ... When we rang no one opened, I was about to ring again when we saw the girl who helps Bruna, with her two children; they immediately recognized us!... So, to make it shorter, Bruna has fallen and broke the femur; she has been in the hospital for over a month. Sometimes she does not remember things and people, but a person who she always remember is Elodie! We went to visit her at the hospital, she was very surprised and happy to see us! We found out that she's 92 years old! Mamma mia, she does not show her age at all! Now I don't know whether she is going to return home or what, but it will be sad if she doesn't go back to her home... Saturday January 31st after many phone calls, searching, stress, etc.. etc.. etc.. there was the New Beginning of the Young Women of the Rimini district: "A lighthouse in the night" At the moment there are only 3 young women, but we need to work as if they were 60! In Rimini there are really good leaders, Costanza is a great support for me and Sabrina! A person you can rely on! Mila and I went there earlier (I left Elodie with Ariele) and we were the first, luckily I had brought my keys! We began to put on decorations and arrange the computer... Then all the other came. The rehearsals were a disaster, and we didn't have enough time... But then the whole presentation came out very well! There were several people and the Relief Society had prepared a beautiful and good refreshment and there were very well decorated tables! It was just beautiful! We were all dressed with the colors of the YW values, including the new value: virtue, gold! We presented the YW organization and the Mutual theme for this year (1 Timothy 4:12). I hope that especially the young women appreciated and understood at least a little of all the things we talked about. Luckily there is Jenny Phillips that has many beautiful ideas which I then copy and translate! =) I love serving in Young Women!!!!!

Che tristezza dover togliere tutte le decorazioni di Natale... E' più bello quando si mettono. Poi fuori non ci sono più quelle belle luci... Bisogna aspettare un altro anno per vederle di nuovo e chissà intanto quante cose succederanno! Non abbiamo ancora molte decorazioni per Natale ma abbiamo tre presepi!! Ah, poi il 6 gennaio è passata la Befana; è passata per Xavier =) e per Elodie e per Elodie è passata anche da casa dei miei! Arielino è venuto a casa nostra così non sono stata sola quel giorno perchè Xavier aveva l'inventario al Bennet così ha lavorato tutto il giorno... Mamma mia in quest'ultimo periodo ha lavorato davvero un sacco!

So sad to remove all the Christmas decorations... I prefer to put them on. Even outside there are no more those beautiful lights ... We must wait another year to see them again and who knows how many things will happen meantime! We don't have many Christmas decorations yet, but we have three nativity set! Ah, on January 6th the Befana came to bring something for Xavier =) and Elodie she received also something from the Befana who passed from my parents home! Arielino came to our house so I was not alone that day, because Xavier had the inventory at his work (Bennet) so he worked all day ... Mamma mia in this period he has been working really a lot!
